Summary

Clearcan keeps everything on your iPhone. We do not collect, store or transmit your personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no third-party tracking.

Data collection

Clearcan does not collect any personal data. The app works entirely on your device and has no servers of its own.

Camera

Camera access is used only to scan documents. Scans are stored on your device and are never uploaded.

Photos

Clearcan asks for permission to add images to your photo library only when you choose Save to Photos. This is write-only access: Clearcan cannot read, browse or access the photos already in your library.

Text recognition

Text in your scans is recognized on your iPhone using Apple’s on-device frameworks. The recognized text stays with the document on your device.

File storage

Scans, recognized text and exported files are kept in the app’s private storage. When you delete the app, iOS removes this data.

Sharing

When you export or share a document, the standard iOS share sheet is used. We do not control or see what happens to a file after it leaves the app.

Children

Clearcan does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with an updated date.
