How can we help?

Quick answers, or write to us directly.

How do I scan a document?

Tap the camera button on the home screen and start scanning. Point the camera at the page — it is detected and captured automatically. You can scan several pages in one session.

How do I add more pages?

After scanning, tap Add Pages to open the scanner again. New pages join the current session. Tap Save when you are done.

How do I export or share a document?

Open the document and tap the export button. Choose PDF, images, text (TXT) or Save to Photos. If a document has several pages you can pick which ones to share.

How do I combine documents?

On the home screen, enter selection mode, select two or more documents and tap Combine. They are merged into a new document.

How do I extract pages into a new document?

Open a document, select the pages you need and choose Extract. The pages are copied into a new document and the original stays untouched.

How do I search by content?

Use the search field on the home screen. Clearcan recognizes the text of every scan on your iPhone, so searching finds words inside documents, not only their names.

What are flags?

Flag any document that matters, then use the filter at the top of the list to show only flagged documents. Flags never change the order of your list.

How do I rename or delete a document?

Tap the document name to edit it. To delete, swipe left on a document, or enter selection mode to delete several at once.

Are my documents backed up to the cloud?

No. Everything is stored only on your device. If you delete the app, its documents are deleted too — export anything important first.

The scanner does not open.

Check that Clearcan has camera access: Settings → Clearcan → Camera.

Save to Photos does not work.

Allow Clearcan to add photos: Settings → Clearcan → Photos. Clearcan only writes to your library; it cannot read it.
